The fables of Aesop have a timeless appeal for adults and children alike, and now, with illustrations by James Marshall, they take on a wonderfully new - and hilarious quality. Mr. Marshall has filled the pages with the kind of goofy, wily, and befuddled animals and people that have made him one of today's most popular illustrators. His drawings here make Aesop delightfully fresh and appealing. Combined with John McFarland's simple and colloquial retellings, they make this new look at Aesop irresistible.
